Torah Portion: Deuteronomy 29:9-30:20 https://tikkun.io/#/r/5-29-9
In Parashat Nitzavim, Moses told the Israelites that all the people stood before God to enter into the covenant, violation of which would bring on curses, but if they returned to God and heeded God's commandments, then God would take them back in love and bring them together again from the ends of the world. Moses taught that this Instruction was not beyond reach, and Moses put before the Israelites life and death, blessing and curse, and exhorted them to choose life by loving God and heeding the commandments.

This is Moses’ last day of life, and he gathers everybody together to reëstablish the covenant, everyone who is here and everyone who is not here. He reminds them of the abominations of the detestable idols they have seen in the past 40 years of wanderings. He warns them not to indulge in them for Hashem’s anger will flair up against them if they do.
The people may, and probably will, stray from Hashem, and their lives will be a struggle. They will eventually realize their errors and return and be prosperous once more. Torah is accessible and available to everyone.
