Shemini Atzeret (שמיני עצרת - "the Eighth [day] of Assembly") is a Jewish holiday. It is celebrated on the 22nd day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei (first month of calendar). Simchat Torah (Day of Celebrating the Torah) for Hebrew Year 5781 begins at sundown on Saturday, 10 October 2020 and ends at nightfall on Sunday, 11 October 2020.
